texture of materials influences heat absorption (smooth materials reflect more heat, rough materials absorb more heat) and air flow (smooth fibers allow for better airflow, rougher fibers allow better filtration) – inspiration can be taken from handcraft












experimentation with procedural 3D differential growth to reference a more natural form, which couls also be an intersting approach to texture
