the “shield” panels reference muscular tissue, held on the face/ head by structural components

texture of materials influences heat absorption (smooth materials reflect more heat, rough materials absorb more heat) and air flow (smooth fibers allow for better airflow, rougher fibers allow better filtration) – inspiration can be taken from handcraft
