“More than 100 sculptures are on display in the natural environment nearby the art museum/former cistercian monastery in Kostanjevica na Krki. They were created on sculptural symposiums Forma Viva with participation of artists from different parts of the world between 1961-1988 and biannual from 1988. Sculptures moulding by artists are made from oak wood, typical for this part of Slovenia.” source
The assignment was to design a jewellery collection based on an artwork displayed at the symposium. I chose the Natural seesaw by Karen Macher Nesta. I wanted to create an adjustable piece, where the wearer can assemble it as they wish, inspired by the technical details of the sculpture like screws and bolts. For 3d modelling I used Blender and the finished model was 3d printed in metal.
